Fanatic Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 Quick question. MBM is sweet I must say(been using winbar), but my question is can you make it part of the background so it is not always on top of all the other windows? I have looked everywhere and either I am missing it or it is not capabile. Any one know?
pi-dickens_project Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 it doesnt run in the taskbar? you actually have a window open at all times?
Fanatic Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 Yeah, I wrote OSD scripts to display it on the desktop without the boxes, now I just want it to run behind all windows, Unless I minimize to desktop then I can see it.

Vampire Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 If your running it in dashboard mode, which it sounds like you are, theres a button to make it not "always on top". You see the bar to the right hand side of the dashboard, well theres a button with a number on it, click it till the number goes to 1 and it wont be on top. Number 2 makes it always on top, number 3 seems to make it not on top, but always stick to the background like you say. Try setting it to 3. I hope I've answered your question, if not post a screeny to give more detail.
Fanatic Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 Thanks Vampire. I played with that number thing a little, but I guess not long enough. I will try that as soon as I get home from work today.
exeter_acres Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 fanatic...I understand what you are asking...MBM has the ability to display the temps as numbers right on your desktop (this is different from the Dashboard) I played with it...but could never get it to go to the background... the numbers were always on top.. Might want to post something over at the MBM forums

markiemrboo Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 Oh I have a script like that! Mine sometimes shows over the top of games, so I know what you're talking about Dunno how to solve it. I don't tend to run MBM5 anymore anyway
