Bionix Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Right now my core clock is 324 and my mem clock is 310.5 How much can I push these? and what is the relative, overall improvements you can actually see. For example... how many mhz OC will it take to boost up my FPS in say.... BF:V.

Bionix Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Where should i start? How much should I increase it? To what proportion should I increase the core/memory? Can you tell this is my first OC....? =D
CompXT Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Hehe np. I would take it up 3-5mhz at a time. First find your max core. Take it up a few and the play some graphic intense games for 30-45 minutes. If every thing is good then take it up some more. Keep doing this until you start to see artifacts. After that bring it down about 5mhz and write that speed down. Now set it back to stock speeds. Then start doing the same thing for your memory. Once it crashes bring it down 5mhz and set the core back to the speed you wrote down and restart. Play some more games or run some benchmarks for a while and see if it's stable. If it's not bring both sides down a tiny bit and continue playing games for a while. Once you can run some intense games for a few hours with no problems everything should be stable. It takes a while but it's worth it.
