p8baller07 Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 A lot of new people to water cooling ask this question. Which is best, "3/8'' tubing or 1/2'' tubing"? Post your thoughts here and perhaps some pros/cons to the both of them. Maybe we could get this pinned.
ccokeman Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 1/2 inch all the way! No flow restrictions and more volume through the system means lower temps .
DarkScorpion Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 The only reason they have 3/8 is for smaller systems which cant fit 1/2 tubing. 1/2 has ALOT less flow restriction, meaning the water will be moving faster resulting in lower temps. wanksta Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 1/2 that is what i am running, sure the tubes are a little fat, but with a strong pump that is what u need
KraZy Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 Sorry folks, but I have to stick with the 3/8ID. After much play, I have found that the 3/8 is a lot easier to work with and is more than subsantial if you have proper water cooling.
