Gremlin Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 https://www.blender.org/news/introducing-blender-benchmark/ Learnt about this from one of the Youtube I think from Linus Tech. I have been looking for a tutorial last night can't find any .. All I see them do launch and start rendering of a classroom. I need to run other to see how my new rig is doing just for fun.. Thought I would use blender. Launched spent one hour and got lost.. so started searching..
SpikeSoprano Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 I ran it once, had the same problem as you, it ran but didn't show me anything useful, or I couldn't figure out how to make it useful.

Braegnok Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 (edited) Try running the "quick benchmark" using Blender Open Data Benchmark. https://opendata.blender.org/ The Open Data Benchmark can render it's scenes on either the CPU or multiple GPUs, depending on what you want to test. After completing benchmark, submit results and you will see how your hardware stacks up compared to other submitted benchmarks, the top 50 scores are displayed on main page below your score. ir_cow Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 Nice find. When I was looking for blender benchmarks half the test I would download wouldn't run. Ended up just loading a scene and manually rendering it and checking the log sheet. If this works i'll switch to using it for my next motherboard review. Braegnok Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Be careful opening/running zip files downloaded from any site. always save download, and scan files first. I haven't used "Blanchmark" yet?, looks like an add-on for Blender 3D. I'll check it out, after I get home tonight, see if it's legit and how it works.
