I will be playing Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, and maybe Battlefield 3. I want the PC to be near top of the line, being able to run these games at a solid 30fps or more, on medium to ultra graphic settings. I have to agree with El_Captain and say build your own but if that's not something you want to do then go direct to Cyberpower as Bosco suggested, I saved about $150.00 by pricing a similar system to the last one you listed on their website. If it has a couple of open (which it should) PCI express ports, then just shove a radeon 7970 in it and upgrade the PSU. You should also get an ssd, but other than that you should be good. Even with all of that you should still be under budget and have a much more powerful computer. Sure it won't be fancy, but you get the asus build quality and it should be a faster PC for the same price. In the long run though I still agree with El Captain and say build your own PC. paulktreg Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 I think building your own gives you a little insight into what goes where, what things do and the software needed to get it up and running. It's not difficult to do if you utilize (I'm even spelling things wrong now! ) the internet and do a little research and ask questions on OCC if stuck. The knowledge gained by building your own can also help you to fault find/repair the PC should it throw a wobbler in the future. When you build it yourself, or scavenge for used parts, you can get similar performance for usually a third or the price you were going to spend. An i7 950 motherboard/CPU combo cost me $200, add in a nice Lian Li Lancool PC-K62 for $63, a Prolimatech Megahalem for $35, RAM 3x4GB RAM for $45, a 128GB SSD for $125, and a Rosewill 750W Gold PSU for $85, and a graphics card from $80 to $200 (anywhere from a GTX 460 1GB to a GTX 560 Ti TOP or GTX 480), that's $633 right there. You can find some good 1920 x 1080 monitors around $80 - $100 these days. Keyboard and mice can be personalized. $20 for an optical drive. Only Hard drives are expensive these days.
