hawkin90 Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Okey, I'm just not sure what's happening. I was cleaning out my case and had to unscrew my ECO coolit system because I wanted to clean beneath it. I also replaced my old ram with new Corsair Dominator along with the corsair fan that comes with it. I'm done with everything, put everything back in place and now my temps are suddenly 90 degrees everytime I turn on my cpu. I resat my overclock still the same problem. After about 5-10 minutes the temps drop to abouy 60 idle and stays there. I mean, those are my usual load temps... I'm not sure if the radiator fan on the ECO system is running and if it's not I'm worried I have somehow messed up the fan controller pins or some .. I was also thinking about termal paste. Can it be that I somehow scratched at it or anything that could make my temps this high? I'm really annoyed by this, having problems finding the source of the crazy temps. Any help would be greatly apprectiated.

Best bet is to reset the block with new tim, you can clean the old tim off with near pure or pure alcohol. Make sure there are no kinks in the tubes and blow some compressed air through the rad fins. Turn on listen to see if the pump is going and look to see if the fan is spinning if one or both are not going turn it off and try to determine why. hawkin90 Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Thanks for fast answer. Yeah I've been planning to try some new paste. This is really weird and I hope it's an easy explanation for it.

I hope you have done one of the following and hopefully not damaged your cpu... - unseated waterblock - servilely restricted water flow aka kink in line - knocked fan or pump power loose  and not had this happen - broken pump
bigball1 Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Since you moved your system around. Are you sure your water is flowing and that your pump is not sucking air with just alittle bit of water.
Boinker Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Or maybe unplugged the waterpump. ??
hawkin90 Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 (edited) Well, I was replacing the cpu fan after adding the new termalpaste, and somehow got the last screw stuck sideways in some kinda weird position. Not your usual stuck, completely stuck. So far nothing has worked for getting it out. I really don't wanna remove the motherboard either (was thinking accessing the backplate somehow could help me get it out). This kinda sucks for me. I'm not experienced with removing motherboards and I'm frankly a little nervous to tamper with it. Yeah, I know, sounds stupid. But I HAVE to get this screw out. Luck is just following me around these days Edited September 10, 2011 by hawkin90

SpikeSoprano Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Would be nice to know what problem and how you solved it ????
hawkin90 Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I just finished my new rig so I just changed. Still haven't fixed this problem. EDIT: Tried it today again, now it won't even boot for some reason, this is after changing everything back the way it was before RAM and fan installation. Will try to fix the problem later, now I'm having way too much fun with my new rig
