acpowell Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 (edited) I am not sure if this should go here or in the memory section. I have a reletivly new build, barely 6 months old, with the OS install about a month old. I usually get a BSOD about once a week, but never have time to deal with it. Today though I have been getting them and I can't even get the computer to function now. I have gotten 2 consistantly: STOP: 0x00000050 PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA STOP: 0x0000001a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT I have ran Memtest86 and so far it has completed 1 pass with zero errors. My computer specs are as follows: AMD 1090t 4 500GB HDD in RAID 10 Windows 7 Ult x64 4GB Adata 1600G memory XFX 5770 Audigy Sound Card Right now my computer is un-usable. Any help is greatly apprechiated. FYI nothing is OCed at the mement if memory servse me correctly, but I will tripple check after dinner. SpikeSoprano Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 I got that error also, and I uninstalled and reinstalled video card driver and it fixed it, but you may have to start the pc in safe mode to do it, hope this helps.
acpowell Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 so logged in as another user I now get a different BSOD: STOP: 0x0000004E PFN_LIST_CORRUPT I am ready to just bag this thing.... I even tried running system restore from the boot CD and that failed to complete. I have these same issues in safe mode, although safe mode lets me use the computer for like 30 seconds longer. potatochobit Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 (edited) is your computer overclocked? that is the first thing to look at try running memory one stick at a time, and reset the cmos before you do you can also try removing the GPU as the other person said edit: LMFAO, Raid 10? come on, bro Edited August 24, 2011 by potatochobit

potatochobit Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 (edited) this is just my educated guess, but those errors appear to be either the memory or the hard disk of course, these errors could also just be the end result of another problem 1 pass on memory is a joke, you need to test it to 300% or more if using memtest do you know what a page file is? This might sound silly but do you have a 5th hard drive to test? I recommend you do a clean install on a clean hard drive, no mirors, no raid see if your problem goes away if you could not run a system restore off a CD that also points to a disk issue I dont remember, but doesnt windows 7 disc have a memory test feature? I would either run that or let a clean install on a single hard drive run while going to dinner Edited August 24, 2011 by potatochobit

I supose I could reload on another harddrive but that is what I was trying to avoid. Also you ask me if I know what a page file is but then you don't elaberate on why? Yes I know what a page file is and I do have it on a 5th drive outside of the raid.
