Liquid Cooling

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I'm fresh meat here, just built my second rig and am looking to overclock it since it has an unlocked multiplier.

I was thinking about going for the Corsair H70, but I've got some extra money, so I might as well go for the full thing.

I've been doing a bit of research, but I'm still unclear as to what goes on with liquid cooling.

I'd like to fit a loop with a CPU and GPU block and keep it under $150, but I'll go to around $200-$250 if necessary.

I'd need it to be easily upgradeable, as I'll probably be running a Sandy Bridge build later this year and possible an AM3+ next year.

Do you guys mind giving me a quick breakdown of what goes on with a liquid cooling loop and what parts are the most popular among overclockers?

Thanks

169.

you should list whats in your rig so we could direct you correctly. but simply put your not going to cool a CPU and GPU for $150, maaybe 250 but than again it depends on heat and whats in your rig. most GPU blocks are $100, CPU $50-80, Rads (240s) $50, Pump $70 and tubing brings you above $250.

This is my build:

NZXT Phantom

Intel 2500K

ASUS P8P67 LE

MSI N560TI

Corsair Vengeance 8GB

Corsair CMPSU 750TX

I guess I'm willing to go higher.

Just ran across this, but if your going to buy an all in one cooler, the antec is better than any corsair out there, better made-better hoses, better warrenty. And ofcource performace is just as good if not better with push pull and at $69 u.s,its hard not to buy, but there 920 is do out soon. the 620 keeps my 1090t prime 95 full blend 24/7 @ 53c to 54c @ 4.117 and 1.44v core.
