How toi get the highest 3DMark06 out of my system?

Hi guys

I have Oced to 3.8GHZ on my rig(see sig)

and my score is just 5230 is that because of my lousy graphics card? before ocing the score was 5060.

Help

(I want to win some Mushkin)

You have an i7 with a 7600GT?!! That's like the definition of a bottleneck. Your CPU only helps in the 3DMark06 so much...the GPU is the main driving force, and yes, you're severely lacking there.

Ok i cant afford it right now but i want to gat a GTX460 768mb.

 

EDIT: The reason i got that card is because my budget was tight and the card was free. I thought it would be a good starting place.

GTX 460 is definitely the card to get right now.

OCC reviewed ones from ASUS and Palit...don't think any others. I've always been a fan of eVGA, and they're currently having a deal where you get Metro 2033 for free if you don't already have it.

Im drooling over the EVEGA GeForce GTX 460 1GB Super-clocked right now. Is it worth it to get the super-clocked version. Or stick with the normal one?

 

What's the price difference? It's all personal preference. My previous card was an eVGA 8800 GTX KO, which was the highest OC'd 8800 GTX on the market, but it also had a special HSF that aided in my decision.
