Help (I want to win some Mushkin) You have an i7 with a 7600GT?!! That's like the definition of a bottleneck. Your CPU only helps in the 3DMark06 so much...the GPU is the main driving force, and yes, you're severely lacking there.
ebarone Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 A 7600GT, good gravy thats old. Thats why your score is so low. In order to score higher, you will NEED better hardware. QtotheEtotheD.

Drdeath Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 (edited) Forget the GTX480. They run hot ad use a lot of power. Here is my results with an ATI 5870. Edited August 25, 2010 by Drdeath

SpeedCrazy Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Can you recommend a good brand
ClayMeow Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 OCC reviewed ones from ASUS and Palit...don't think any others. I've always been a fan of eVGA, and they're currently having a deal where you get Metro 2033 for free if you don't already have it. SpeedCrazy Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Im drooling over the EVEGA GeForce GTX 460 1GB Super-clocked right now. Is it worth it to get the super-clocked version. Or stick with the normal one?

Or stick with the normal one? What's the price difference? It's all personal preference. My previous card was an eVGA 8800 GTX KO, which was the highest OC'd 8800 GTX on the market, but it also had a special HSF that aided in my decision.
