"ad muncher" works wonders. sits in startup, not free but works in all today's browsers, customizable, eats EVERYTHING that is unwanted! i love it: I visit russkie sites w/o smut now! scripts, music, background, ads, windows size changes, takes care of anything you want. looks like a little cow in your notification area...
