Noctua NH-U9B SE2 for a Phenom II X4 955

I was looking at it because

a) It's low noise.

b) It performs well.

c) Noctua seems to be a well respected brand.

However, it has one con: It's $60.00. Is it worth the price or should I get something less expensive? Note that this is for an upcoming build. I'm pretty excited on that front.

$60 isn't bad. I paid $90 for my d14. Yes that's a lot, but I don't have to worry about cooling any CPU that i can squeeze into my socket 1366 mobo ;)

I deem it a worthy investment :)

But back on topic, the fit and finish of my d14 is top notch. so you won't be disappointed with the quality and the thing is whisper quiet. So i think you'l be satisfied with your decision ;)

Do you mean with the U9B? Haha, I got kind of sidetracked. You do know I'm not planning on buying the D14, but the U9B. Sorry if I sound redundant.

yes i know, i was speaking about my experiences with the d14, and since noctua makes the U9B as well, you shouldn't be disappointed
