hardnrg Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 did you actually install the heatsink on the CPU? I think even with a passive heatsink (no fans) you'd get better temps you shouldn't run a CPU anywhere near
malmsteenisgod Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I would think something is wrong with the censors on that processor making it detect the wrong temperatures. No way it could be that hot.
Rankiz Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Okay, I got the Nochuta NH-U 12 SE1366 cpu fan and NT-H1 thermal paste. How should I take away and reapply the paste? Last time I just had a little dot of thermal paste in the middle and dragged it out with an old credit card. Should I just take a vertical line and not drag it out? dling Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 It seems that most just add a small amount in the middle . I have also read that doing the 3 lines is good . I hope you get it right. I went thru the same issues but it was cause my hs was crap. Good luck.
joel.monteiro Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 (edited) try not applying thermal paste at all and then check ur temps some times when u put a lot,the contact between the cpu and heatsink is poor, i have a noctua D14 and had some similar issues but never got temps like those on ur screenshot Edited April 5, 2010 by joel.monteiro
