Finally

After 2 mother boards and 3 i7 920's I finally have a low vcore and 4+ gig.

What a pain in the @@@, I realize that getting to 4 gig is not guaranteed.

If fact I dont think its the norm. I still dont have my memory at its speed of 1600mhz.

I need better cooling for the high vcore it will take.

Congrats! Can't believe you ran thru that many i7s. Mines is running fairly well so far with 3.8 Ghz at 1.2V. I don't think I have the money to run through that many i7s. I was always told most d0 clocked past 4 Ghz fairly easily while c0 would have a slight disadvantage. Did you have memory dividers at 8? I know running it at 12x provides full 1600 without OC. I think that you need a BCLK at 200 in order to run it at 1600 with 8x, at least that was what is shown for me.

Re-move the congrats-system has become unstable. I sold the other I7's 100 bucks ea. I thought the same thing about the i7 and 4gig.

But it doesn't seem to be the case. And yea my memory is at 8 so it takes 20x200 to get 1600mhz. I'm not messing with this any more.

I GIVE UP,(hands in the air) If you look on the floor you will see my white towel. OH YEA IM ANGRY. :angry2:

There certainly not all created equal, I have 2 decent ones out of 7, not the other are bad they just need a little volts to get there...

NuuUuuu... Don't give up! I'm sure you can hit 4.0 Ghz with a bit more tweaking. Hell, your computer outclass mine by far with better setup and cooling, no doubt. Ouch, still 1/3 and 2/7 seems to average about 31% to get a decent chip. Now, I am feeling discouraged from being able to break the 4 Ghz barrier.

Well 2 of my 7 are C0 revision, actually one of the C0 are better than a D0 I have. My best 2 came from microcenter, I picked one from the batches in the case, the other came from the back as there where not any in the case not sure if it really means anything but I grabbed the B batches and there both decent...

Very nice... I got my processor from Microcenter as well. It was funny to the guy I talked to that I wanted Sspec SLBEJ (D0) specifically for my i7. He gave me a funny look and just went to the back to look for it.

It's okay, dling, Maybe, some beer will cheer you up. :D
