karnavor Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 In your budget the Noctua DH-14. A true budget option would be something like the CM Hyper 212+.

ccokeman Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Ok couple of things. You have an Antec 300 which is going to limit the size of the heatsink you will be able to Physically fit in the chassis. The Titan Fenrir is a great heatsink for the price. I put one on my brothers i7 920 rig and at 4.0GHz it ran in the mid 60's Celsius. It is a large tower but should fit nicely into that case. Check your dimensions from the motherboard to the side wall of the case to get an idea if it will fit. I can give this one a two thumbs up based on personal experience. ANother one if that will not fit is the Noctua NH-U9B Special edition look here Both fit your price range and are excellent options that should fit in your case
osmt2 Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 (edited) The Corsair H50 works well, but I sometimes question whether it was worth $90. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be that many options out there for 1156, so that is why I went with the H50. At 4.0 GHz & ~1.41V (as far as I will leave my i5 at for 24/7), the H50 performs as follows: Idle Temp: 35-40C Load Temp: 55-60C gaming, 70C Intel Burn Test Ambient: 28C Edited February 7, 2010 by osmt2
