EDIT: Clr CMOS button on board reset my settings and solved the issue, ty anyways!

Title pretty much says it all.

Got the system up and running just fine, decided that I'd like to try using the AutoOverclock function on my MSI 790GX-G65.

Now I can't seem to get a display, and I'm completely stuck about what to do!

I'm a complete novice at overclocking, so please give me detailed instructions. Do I need to flash the bios, and if so, what's the safest and easiest way to do that?

System specs:

MSI 790GX-G65

AMD Phenom II X4 955

mushkin 4.0 GB DDR3 1600

Using integrated graphics.

Thank you in advance for the help!

can't believe this got three answers, despite the OP having solved the problem long before a single response was made.

Well I certainly appreciate the enthusiasm.

No, I definitely turned the PSU off before I reached into the case to hit the Clr CMOS button. That's a very nice little feature that I wish more boards offered. But yes the problem is solved for now.

I'm a novice at all this, but I'll go in and take another crack at it (manually this time). I'm just very annoyed that my board says it supports up to 1333 MHz RAM normally, and up to 2133 MHz OC, and yet my nice mushkin DDR3 1600 is only running at 1066. But like I said I'm a complete novice at all this, so I'll try to find some OC tutorials to help me with that before I make a post here.

Yeah. I attempted to get the overclock option to work on my AM2+ Asus M3N-HT and found that it "does not work well" I got a better more stable overclock out of time and effort. see my CPUID below. as far as im concerned the overclock option is a joke in itself.
