I made an OpenSearch plugin that appends "review" to your search term.

I search for reviews using Google a lot by using Firefox's built in search and then appending "review" to the search manually, this plugin does that for you...

You can install it:

HERE

(Click on the I next to "Google Review Search")

Heres the XML code if you care:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<OpenSearchDescription xmlns="http://a9.com/-/spec/opensearch/1.1/"
				   xmlns:moz="http://www.mozilla.org/2006/browser/search/">
 <!-- Created on Tue, 03 Mar 2009 01:32:31 GMT -->
 <ShortName>Google Review Search</ShortName>
 <Description>Appends "review" into your product search</Description>
 <Url type="text/html" method="get" template="http://www.google.com/search?q={searchTerms} +%22REVIEW%22"/>
 <Contact>[email protected]</Contact>
 <Image width="16" height="16">http://mycroft.mozdev.org/updateos.php/id0/google.</Image>
 <Developer>Andrew Robinson</Developer>
 <InputEncoding>UTF-8</InputEncoding>
 <moz:SearchForm>http://www.google.com/</moz:SearchForm>
</OpenSearchDescription>

EDIT

I also created two OCC specific searches:

Overclockersclub.com Review Search

Overclockersclub.com Forum Search

You can find them on the same link as the other search addon...

huh
Lets say you wanted to look up reviews for a EVGA 790i Ulra SLI.

(This is all referring to the right click search option in Firefox or other browsers that utilize OpenSearch)

You can select the "EVGA 790i Ulra SLI" text, right click on it and do a normal Google search and then type in "review" on the Google page to do a search for EVGA 790i Ulra SLI review.

OR

You can use my custom search plugin and save yourself the hassle of adding review to your search and just do a quick search of "X" product review...

Ohh, i get it. But what if I want to do a regular search?

If you could, making a special shortcut that adds review would be cool, like how Ctrl+Enter adds .com. Maybe Ctrl+R will add review to the end of a search! :D

I have no idea how to do that...

:lol:

You have to go to your search options and change it back, there may be a short cut but I'm not sure...

ALSO EDIT:

I posted up 2 more searches, one for forum searching and one for review searching

:D
