I am just starting to overclock my cpu and realizing that stock cooling isnt the best thing in the world for temps, so what is a good cpu cooler for socket AM2 I was looking at this one.

or this one

leaning more towards the artic cooling one just because they make the awesome paste and the fan will spin faster. Wish newegg gave more specs like air flow

but yea any suggestions?

I would definitely go with the Arctic one, specs are:

Heat Sink: 106(L) x 76(W) x 59(H) mm*

Fan Size: 60(L) x 60(W) x 15(H) mm

Fan Speed: 3000 +/- 10% RPM

Air Flow: 25.4 CFM

Heat Pipe: 3 pcs

Weight: 520 g

Noise Level: 0.4 Sone

Warranty: 6 Years

Do you need low profile for a certain reason (case, perhaps)?

There are much better heatsinks for the money, like the Xigmatek Rifle, or some of the core contact types (Sunbeam?).

I would recommend this one: XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 $22 after MIR and free shipping (CONUS)

Here's another: ZEROtherm ZEN FZ120 $14 after MIR (!), free shipping as well...

Do remember that the highest CFM coolers aren't always the quietest

also remember to factor in the static pressure a fan needs/creates (when buying a cooler that requires you to purchase a fan that suits your own needs (I.E. TRUE))
