tkrow21 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 My fan speeds never exceed 800 RPM, this is quite low, especially since my Antec Three Hundred manual says that the lowest fan speed is 1200 RPM. I have my case fans hooked up to the "Fan Only" connector on the Power Supply. Why do they run so slow?
ARandomOWL Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 How r u monitoring the speed & which fans r u talking about?
tkrow21 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 (edited) I check in the BIOS, and I check using PC Probe. I am referring to the case fans (top, back, and front). Antec Tri-Cools btw. The processor fan is also running low, but the temps are pretty nice (29-32 idle). Edited October 5, 2008 by Krow
capthowdy575 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 i think there is a little switch on the fans that say H M L just switch it to H and it should speed them up.
tkrow21 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Lolz, they are on high. At low they get about 300 RPMs... I can actually follow the fan with my eyes on low.
ocmooz Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Umm yeah <_< I had similar problem with my first PSU. The fix don't use those fan only connectors they usually put out about 5V not the 12V necessary for proper fan operation.
