Capo Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Hey all, My system is in my sig. I'm trying to remove my stock hs/fan for my q6600 so I can put on my new xigatech, but I cant seem to get the 4 push pins out. Do these have to be broken off or something? Surely not... how can I get this off?
Compxpert Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 I think your supposed to push down and twist counter-clockwise... if not push and twist clockwise.
The Smith Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 I think your supposed to push down and twist counter-clockwise... if not push and twist clockwise. You don't even have to push. Just turn counter-clockwise. There is a slot for using a screwdriver if you want. Then for installing your new Xigmatek, just follow the instructions in the user manual. Comp Dude2 Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 All i can say in addition is take your time. I found the push pin thingie have a very high 'buggeration factor' and its worth just fiddling for a while if you need as they can be a little awkward sometimes. Capo Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 I have it off now, thanks everyone! But now, these silly little rubber push pins for the XIG Fan are being very annoying and I can't fully get one on...
Capo Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 For the record, I got them in. I just used something to push them through far enough so I could pull them in.
cchalogamer Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 For the record, I got them in. I just used something to push them through far enough so I could pull them in. I hated thoes things initially, but man they work great and are apparently insanly strong as well.
