JacKz Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 The 7900GS is a great card and a great overclocker. But like the other said, you can find a 320MB 8800GTS for around $260 after MIR if you do a bit of searching

Dan42684 Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Would you guys recommend upgrading the cooling on this card or would that void eVGA's 90 day step up program?
krazypoloc Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 The stock cooling is adequate for the overclock in my sig. I would imagine a 320 version would run even cooler. But the new 8800 coolers are out from thermalright if you would want to upgrade this would be your best option. http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/08/27/how...s_card_coolers/
red930 Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 If your not going to clock the hell out of it then the stock cooler will be just fine. After market cooling is always better
krazypoloc Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 If your not going to clock the hell out of it then the stock cooler will be just fine. After market cooling is always better Well I clocked the hell out of my card for sure and it runs around 61-62c full load with an ambient room temp of around 78. It runs awesome now that I got the manual fan control functioning. So I would say the stock cooler is more than adequate.
