marcopolo Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Anandtech have tested it and it looks crap for the money. http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2979 Between the 8500, 8600 and this new 8800 Ultra it looks like NVIDIA are onto another loser. I can see the conversation round the development table: "So we've now made the best cards on the market, the 8800GTS,GTX etc..... and AMD are nowhere in sight...What should we do guys?" "I know, lets build some really . cards to balance the force" Marco.

HITandRUN Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 Not too much performance gain between the GTX and Ultra! Its not worth it! Come down! In six months we will have a total different die design with DDR4 and than we can upgrade again!
Guest GripS Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 too sad. This thread makes me glad i'm using my 'old' setup. 900 bucks for a video card? Really? For that kind of money I expect that thing to do more then put out good framerates if you know what i mean.
TheReaper Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Quote about the 8800 Ultra: "All we have here is a slightly overclocked gtx, and nothing more, you can oc your gtx to the same performance, so why don't you." ~Some bloke
