mentul Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Should I try to OC my E6300 setup with Asus' Ai thing-a-mabob or just work on it manually? Anyone actually try the Ai? Any feedback/advice would be appreciated
Coors Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Manually through the bios is best
red930 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Manually through the bios is best The only way to do it. (in my opinion)

Kingfisher Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Using software to overclock invites stability problems, exactly what we don't want. Use the BIOS, it is what it is for.
CPDMF Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Use the advanced features of the bios. There aren't that many settings to go through. To get the base settings that the board sets to auto you can use Everest Ultimate trial, which will also give you all of the SPD settings from the memory. Enter them manually so you have a starting point to work from. Use the OC profile under tools to save those settings so you don't have to go through it again if you need to clear the CMOS. I use profile 2 save my max stable OC..
