uneedav8 Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 You can put the video card on the PCI-E lower slot.
Jachyra007 Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 are you using the foam padding?
SupeRClockeD Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 nop not using any foam but i'm not sure it would help since this Hs dosent fit the board holes 100% but its worth checking... and HR-05 SLI looks like overkill whats your temps on load ? Jachyra007 Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 I was wondering if the padding could be causing your problem, not that you should put it on. My load barely breaks 40deg, idle about mid 30's. But I also have a 92mm strapped to it.
General Septem Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Try reinstalling it. It should fit perfectly if everything went well.
uneedav8 Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 The thing to do on the install is to use some pliers and gently bend the metal bracket that holds the push pins, once both of the push pins look slightly bent inward towards the center of the cooler.....it will make the install easier. If it want not rubbing with the stock cooler, it should not be rubbing with the EC.
SupeRClockeD Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 hmmm ..its not possible to bend the bracket holes since its all one piece of solid copper ..what is needed is making the HS stable because it shifts from, side to side

They won't fit unless you modify them.

General Septem Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 yeah i gots it ....i thought its VC-RE the whole time what kind of mod is needed ? I think it has something to do with elongating one of the holes so it fits right. The VC-RF isn't recommended, but some people have gotten it to work when it's the only version they could find. Also, take the plastic thing off if present and possible, this will reduce the thickness.
