Thasp Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 I bought it two weeks ago. I can't say I dislike it. The only issue is that the fan is 100% uncontrollable by any software, but that should be fixed with a waterblock anyway. I wouldn't care if it came with no cooler, for $140 shipped, I'd take it! sailindawg Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Hell, for $140, that's a great card to play around with if you ever wanted to try volt modding or playing around with memory timings or just modding the heck out of a vid card. If you hosed it, not so bad vs. a brand new one.
bighairycamel Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 Bought one a week ago for my little brother before I ever saw this ad. With the eVGA lifetime warranty you cant go wrong!
Angry_Games Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 check out my Gigabyte GA-965P-S3 OCDB and SSDB entries (and wait for my overall review!). I use an XFX 7800GT 256MB in it and I have spent about 4 hours playing Rainbow Six: Vegas @ 1024x768 and 1280x1024 (with my core2 @ 3Ghz and 3.2Ghz) and it plays very very well. Imagine a couple of these in SLI (the price is right!)
p0tter Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 Funny, I owned that card and rma'd it. Good to see it still serving up some fun. but... the 7900gs w/ a rebate comes close in price but far in performance.
