Mako3 Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Yeah I thought about the G7 or even a MX1000, but wired seemed fine with them. I also got them a steel pad for the G5. The Opteron 1216 has a 12x multi. I let them pick out the case, and the younger son liked the looks a lot and it seems to have decent reviews and everything they need plus 2x intake, 2x outtake fans. (u have to admit that DOES sound pretty funny lol), u got 3 grand, go get something nicer... a $150 logitech 5300 like mine kicks butt.... u dont need 7.1 (IMO), where 5.1 is quite *surround* depending on ur room, and even if u dont need 10000W of power, 5300 has better midrange and deeper bass...
