I am so furious with them right now. And I'm on a very long hold time too.... I can't believe the *@*@## left my board for anybody to take.... the stupidity!!!! aelfwyne Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Well UPS claims that it was SIGNED FOR at my apartment number. Which is an utter LIE since I was not home, and the last name they claim signed for it is not me or anyone I know. They tell me to contact the shipper. Nightshadow Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 I have never had any trouble with ups. If a package has to be signed for, and no one is home, they'll try again the next day. I have had alot of trouble with fedex and dhl breaking stuff that is shipped to me. Of course I guess it's pointless to be biased with shipping companies, as It just depends on the hands you're packages go through. aelfwyne Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Okay....... I had asked my immediate neighbors if they knew about it, and they didn't... but someone from farther down the apartment complex just brought me the boxes... Still pissed at UPS. If they can't, contact the ACLU! I stopped using UPS several years ago. I now use FedEx exclusively. They will take the package back to the shop and leave a note on your door. Sorry about your situation, but UPS is NOT the least bit sorry. Their people have no pride in what they do. They are driven beyond their limits and all they want to do is get rid of the damn frieght!! Especially this time of year. I know this for a fact. I have friends who work for them. On top of that; FedEx is usually faster and always cheaper than UPS.

Sorry, but you can't make these broad statements. In my neck of the woods, the UPS drivers DO give a damn, and they go out of their way to help. Even as so far as to see that a address is wrong on the package, but they knew the name, so they delivered it to me. Bottom line is, it depends on the driver, and if they give a damn or not. I had issues with Fedex, DHL/airborne, and even the USPS.

Hate to be to agreeable but my wife knows the UPS man and he will drop the stuff off at her work if we are not at home.....I mean rather than leave it on the doorstep....... So I can honestly say that I have had good experiences with both also.....
