JDMJOSH Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Just wondering what you guys used to mount the TDX on your boards, I dont think I have a backing plate to use but its been so long since I put this thing together. Wasnt there supposed to be one included with the board? The one the guy uses in the Danger Den video is unlike anything I have. not sure what to do here... CPDMF Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Should be the yellow backing plate that came with the board to hold the stock retension bracket on.

Sorrento Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Thats the nice thing about AMD motherboards (754, 940, 939 and prolly AM2 too): the back plate remains in place, there is no need to remove the motherboard to take away the holding bracket and change it for a Thermalright or just remove it to use a waterblock like the TDX. With Intel motherboards you need to remove the motherboard completely, and even then it is dificult to remove the holding bracket thing with out breaking it.
