Remove your video drivers, reboot.

Remove your chipset drivers, reboot.

Go though found new hardware for all the mobo things it finds, just with the windows drivers, cancelling found new hardware for video. Reboot again.

Reinstall chipset drivers, reboot.

Install video drivers, reboot.

Test 3D.

0 filling wouldn't cause the PC to stutter, but the reason you wanted to run a low-level in the first place might. What was wrong with the drive before? Just paranoid about your porn?

Your video card may be sucking too much power. Try connecting your video card to one rail and the rest of the hardware to the other. By rails I mean the molex cables going out of the PSU. I had all my hardware and the gpu on one rail and the computer shut off :(. Try nforce drivers version 5.10 too, they're the most stable I know of.

What power supply are you currently using?

Did you MemTest and Prime95 Torture test your rig to ensure that everything was stable to begin with?

jamesbond,

you really are running us in circles here. it is hard to help trouble shoot your problem if you keep jumping from symptom to symptom.

1. you say you got ur power supply, what does that mean? you bought a new one? if so what brand, what total output and what amperage on your voltage rails?

2. you've failed to answer my question concerning whether or not your rig was memtest and prime95 stable.

once you've answered these questions we can move onto the next step.
