I haven't even looked at the other features (or bugs if there are any) But It looks to be about the same software that's running another board I am always on...so i think it'll be fine for me. DarthBeavis Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 I pay for this site out of my own pocket I own it and I run it away from my regular duties as DFI Support Manager this forum has become my regular duty lately because of the increased traffic, the hosting costs of this site have skyrocketed, so you have a single google ad to look at (why do you guys act like there's 14 popup ads and porno ads and spyware ads all over the site???) it helps pay for the site since my paycheck and my regular life bills = eats all the money so there is none left over for hosting this site...so you either get a forum with an ad banner or you get no forum...take your pick. LOL HAHAOMG>>> hey I thought it was changed to Happy_Games! haha jp. yeah Bannerz are definitely okay with a lot of us if thats the reason. ***ALSO to reiderate the Point BLICK made, I also believe Admins and Mods should be the only ones allowed to hand out REP points. Otherwise, it just becomes a popularity contest along with everyone being a critic. No need for that, tell you the truth its a great idea, REP POINTS, it just needs to have a good thought out plan on how to disperse them fairly. This is good because the mods appreciate users who spend the time to help others as it makes our job easier and we can focus also on helping users etc. Users that give out excellent info and excellent selfless help will get the most rep points from moderators which will give them more than the average user's rep standings which will alert others that they actually know what they are talking about and should be trusted above others (unless too many disagree with a highly rep'd person's post...a guy with a high rep might just come and say something stupid like "1.8v on your cpu with air cooling is perfectly fine" and because he has a high rep other users will believe him then have a fried cpu and we just can't allow that either... but highly rep'd users will more than likely never post anything so dumb as this, and only post good info (or else they wouldn't get the high rep standings yeah?)
