I found this site where the timing settings for my ram were... http://www.bleedinedge.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18106 this site was shown to me by the OZC guy here in this forum so im sure its the right setup....? and setup my mem settings in the bios as follows... FSB Bus Frequency............................. 200 MHz LDT/FSB Frequency Ratio....................... 5 CPU/FSB Frequency Ratio....................... Auto PCI eXpress Frequency......................... 100 CPU Voltage .................................. Auto LDT Voltage .................................. 1.20v ChipSet (NF4) Voltage ........................ 1.52V DRAM Voltage ................................. 2.71V +0.03 if not 3.2V ............................ N/A Memclock (DRAM Frequency) .................... 200 1T/2T Timing (Command Per Clock).............. 1T CAS Latency (Tcl)............................. 2T RAS# to CAS# delay (Trcd)..................... 3T Min RAS# active time (Tras)................... 8T Row precharge time (Trp)...................... 2T Row Cycle time (Trc).......................... 10T Row refresh cyc time (Trfc)................... 16T Row to Row delay (Trrd)....................... 3T Write recovery time (Twr)..................... 3T Write to Read delay (Twtr).................... 2T Read to Write delay (Trwt).................... 3T Refresh Period (Tref)......................... Auto DRAM Bank Interleave.......................... Enabled DQS Skew Control.............................. Auto DQS Skew Value................................ 0 DRAM Drive Strength........................... Level 09 DRAM Data Drive Strength...................... Disable R/W Queue Bypass.............................. 16x Bypass Max.................................... 4x 32 Byte Granularity........................... Disable (4 Bursts) with these settings im still having the same problem i started with... i press the power button and my pc turns on for a half sec and shuts off... Is there any setting here that i could change for a "lose" setup? all im looking for now is stability, ill play with oevr clocking later... i need my computer working and i cant seem to find a solution... any help would be greatly apreceated (spelling) O yeah could this probem be caused by a bad vid card? maybe? cuz my 7800GT has been acting wierd in my previouse mobo... sorry for any wierd typos... im useing a really old lapto to pst this... tasr Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 Are all four power connectors plugged into the motherboard. 24-pin main power connector 4-pin 12v secondary connector or EPS 4-pin molex connection 4-pin floppy connection You may need to Clear CMOS then Load Optimized Defaults in the BIOS. Make sure you write down all your current settings. Use this to record your settings 939 Overclocking Database Template

RacerII Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 4 pin floppy connection?? i have the NF4 expert mobo... it has the 24 pin and an 8 pin right next to eachother... thx for the template And there is a 4 pin floppy header on the mobo , check the manual. Manual says you only need it if you are running sli , but people here suggest that its better to plug it in even if youre not running sli. Prostock62 Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 The flopy header on motherboard should be pluged in even if your not running in SLI mode.
