politbureau Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 Interested in replacing the stock HSF on my "old" 250GB with a Freezer64 HSF - it's on sale at my local computer store for cheapcheap. Lots of good reviews on the net - wondering if anyone has any experiences good/bad to share? Better/Same/Worse than stock? Louder/Quieter? Thanks! sailindawg Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Check out the review by dnottis over at xtremesystems.org, Air Cooling. The Freezer 64 performs real well. The SVC deal was very good. Excellent performance for the money spent.
rbishop Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 I have one in my third system and like it alot. Nice improvement over the stock heatsink. Easy to install. From what I have seen online, you will want to use the thermal compound that comes on the heatsink for best results.
