madwelsh Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Hi there, I have a dfi sli-d mboard, I also have the gskill 4800 ram, I'm having all sorts of problems with random crashes.. I'm trying to run at 2.5-4-4-8 @ 1T with 300mhz.. I'm sure there was a section on here relating to the timings for this ram and board, alas the search function on this forum thinks that the words i put in are too plentiful!!! Someone post a link to a site where i can get this info??? TY in advance
SWiTCH07 Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 I had that RAM (its lying a box somewhere now) and i had to run it at 3-4-4-8:1T to get 300mhz out of it on my SLI-DR / 3500+ Winchester combo. Also ran it at those speeds on my current rig before i upgraded. I also ran it on a divider so I could get 2-3-2-5:1T @ approx 225mhz. supershanks Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Try TCCD DDR600 2.5-3-3-7 twenty four seven: The ultimate settings Also be aware that other components can effect the ability to run like the memory controller on your CPU. For example 9x 300 may run perfectly while 10x 300 will BSOD all over theplace as the memory controller can't hack it. luck
