Cyber Surfer Posted September 20, 2003 Posted September 20, 2003 Do a search on the web for Prime 95, and download the software. Run it on your machine for a minimum of 1 hour or as long as 24 hours. If errors show up, you need to make adjustments. It's called a torture test!
FuZziELiTLpAnDa Posted September 20, 2003 Posted September 20, 2003 (edited) well i just ran an old benchmark. very old actually hehe (3dmark 2001) my temperature is at 50. i guess thats in the ok-bad range. im planning on getting some arctic silver to replace the stock goo. how good is this stuff at lowering cpu temperature? also, im using sisoft sandra to measure my board and cpu temps. i used to use hmonitor, but the trial time ended. can you guys recommend me a free cpu/mobo temperature monitor? SIREX Posted September 20, 2003 Posted September 20, 2003 I used the OCZ thermal paste and dropped my buddies temps by 4 degrees celcius. They have it at newegg.com. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?...rtby=14&order=1 Plus you get more goo than you do with artic. andrusk Posted September 20, 2003 Posted September 20, 2003 Are there any benefits of folding and/or being a part of the folding team? I mainly do it just cause i like the "competition" of folding more than everyone else. Also you get the cool banner in your sig, and help find a cure for cancer at the same time! Oh yeah, and theres also a contest going just for the folding at home members. The more points you have the better chance you have of winning. Join the team! We could always use more folders!!
