jimmil43 Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I've decided to dump my Sonata II case and get something with a little more room while still keeping the stuff cool. Anyone have any recommendations on a large case? I was thinking about a thermatake Kandalf. And while I'm on the subject of cases what is so great about Lian-li
Guest FZ1 Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 You might as well ask which is the best motor oil to use in your car It's very subjective. A lot of people like the CM Stacker case. BTW, this is in the wrong section, I'd expect to see a move in 3-2-1....
Gipse Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Hi, have a look at this case: http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39062 You won´t need more room... Gipse
crashthenet44 Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 And while I'm on the subject of cases what is so great about Lian-li You get what you pay for with Lian-Li. The build quality and engineering of their cases if what sets them apart. The Coolermaster that I have now cannot compare to my older Lian-Li. They may be a little pricey but they are worth every penny. Computer cases are like clothes, everyone has there own style.
delemon Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Last two cases I've owned are Lian-Li (PC-60, PC-V1000BW). Stellar build quality. Will likely stick with them unless something comes along that is obviously superior, or the quality starts to go to heck.
Guest Lux Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Last two cases I've owned are also Lian Li (pc-65b and pc-v1000b) ... in a word... shiek. Present case.
red930 Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 The Lian Li V2000 will have more room in it than you'll ever need and is easily customizable for watercooling projects. Its beautiful too.
jimmil43 Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Seems like there are a lot of people who like Lian-Li cases. I'm checking out a 1200 plus, might get that but it's a little steeper of a price than I was going to go. I also posted originally in the nF4 page since that was the motherboard I had and figured those people would be able to give me the best advice for a case. jimmil43 Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Thanks for the advice on the Lian-Li cases, I just picked up one from Monarch computers. A 1200B-plus. They a had a pretty good price on it at $199.98. a little steep but hopefully worth the extra bucks.
