Calling Expert Owners ONLY

Recommended Posts

For those of you that own Expert Boards could you do me a favour, i am one of the few with an issue (restart after shutdown) with the board and i wondered if you could humour me.

1. What rev do you have?

2. Do you have a psu that keeps a fan running after shutdown?

3. What PSU?

4. Do you have the following issue?

if you go

1. Choose Start, then select Shut Down.

2. From the pull-down menu, select "Shut Down".

3. Click OK.

and then i leave it 30 sec to 1 min and press the power button once to turn the pc back on, it fires up shows me 4 leds then 3 leds then 4 again and turns off.

or does your pc restart with no issue?

thanks Ladies and Gents

4. No issues

I have a new Seasonic S12 500W waiting in the wings for when I finally put the sysytem into a case. Reading these issues re seasonic and this board I think I may just sell it on, It's still shrinkwrapped so I don't want to open it just yet and test it.

3. Seasonic s12 500w

4. No reboot issue. Sometimes I have boot issues, when the psu was turned off with the switch for a long time. It's the well known seasonic problem.

rainbow im also liasing with Hiper to the point that there tech dept should be looking at the relevant threads from here, im hoping they will be able to help me eliminate the fan issue as the problem or confirm it, as we have the same psu and problem ill let u know the outcome.

i have asked if one of their engineers can mod a psu to circumvent the fan circuit in hopes that they can send it to me and i can try it.

also can u try something for me, run ur pc so it gets warm and then shutdown 9check the fan is on) then leave it 10 mins try turning it on then leave it an hr and try it then if still no joy leave it overnight and try the next day.

let me know if she powers up at any point but dont turn the mains off.
