Surgical Sprit for Cleaning the Chipset

I use 100% Acetone (Nail Polish Remover). The kind without any coloring, scents, etc. I buy it from Albertson's or Walgreens, etc.

 

So, can I use surgical sprit for the cleaning. Have a bottle lying around, wanted to know if that does the job.

I use 99% pure isoprople (spelling works fine, dries fast and doesnt damage anything.

You can look up the product number if you really want but I would just pitch it and get some 99% pure isopropal alchohol. 90% works pretty good too:)

Yeah, 90% or higher Isopropyl Alcohol works great. And it's cheap too!

alcohol 90% or higher and/or 100% acetone like you quoted me in your first post...neither is expensive (both less than $2.00 a bottle I'm sure)

I used to have some 98% alco laying around but I dn what happened to it.

 

So what I use instead is some nail polish remover and then some 40% alco after that to make sure nothing was left behind by the nail polish remover.
