3000+ NC 754 Overclock Help...

So I've decided to try and aim with 2.2ghz on my 754, but I just wanted to know if these settings are recommended (voltage wise). Reading threw some of the overclocking guides I've come to this conclusion within my BIOS.

 

Genie BIOS Settings:

FSB Bus Frequency - 220 FSB

AGP Bus Frequency - 66mhz

Clock Spread Spectrum - Disabled

LDT Downstream Width - Auto

LDT Upstream Width - Auto

LDT/FSB Frequency - Auto

CPU/FSB Frequency Ratio - 10

 

CPU VID Control - 1.275v

CPU VID Special Control - Above VID * 126%

Chip Set Voltage Control - 1.60v

AGP Voltage Control - 1.50v

DRAM Voltage Control - 2.8v

 

My DRAM configuration settings are all on Auto. So I'm wondering if this is a good overclock setup, but I’m gradually trying to aim higher. Only problem is im running it on air and using the stock heatsink/fan. Any input is appreciated :)

2.2 is a nice start. Voltage settings look pretty good. Make sure you have your stability testing tools downloaded and your favorite benchmark(s) to test what you have done and make sure it went the right way. You will have to start reading and understanding your bios options under DRAM config to get the most out of your equipment. Patience and trying different things one or two at a time is the key to maximizing your machine.. If you have niot already, read the definitave A64 OC guide in the AMD overclocking section.

Attempted to go a bit further this time, 2.3GHz as my PC refuses to boot windows at 2.4GHz.

 

At current the full load temp using prime95 scores around 52deg after a few hours and sits between 50-52. Not bad I guess for stock cooling as Idle temps sit around 38-40.

Basically wanted to know from the community again if you think the voltages are looking good enough, but its stable afaik.

Assuming you have a good cooler and i mean not stock at all

 

Htt 3

 

Divider 166

 

pci-agp lock 67

 

200 fsb--210---220-- or just try to post @240

 

cpu voltage 2.6-2.65

 

memory voltage 2.8-3.0

 

2t

 

3-3-3-7 timings

 

If you get a post @ 240 run memtest if thats satble 250 :D

 

Once you find your max cpu clocks go tighten up to 1t then mem timings
