Marine Posted August 4, 2003 Posted August 4, 2003 Hey guys i was looking on pricewatch and i was looking for a video card... well idk if i could be able to afford a 9700 right away but a 9600 there is a sure thing. Only thing is i haven't even heard much about the card or even thought about it... lol. so enlighten me, is it worth it? Overclocker16 Posted August 4, 2003 Posted August 4, 2003 Well, it's pretty much an ATi Radeon 9800 except it only has 4 pipes, slower clock speeds. syneze Posted August 4, 2003 Posted August 4, 2003 It also has a 128-bit memory bus as opposed to the 9700's 256. That's the primary difference. It's worth it if that's what your price range is, you get what you pay for. Personally, I would throw in a few more bucks and get the 9700.
