Gary_Johnston Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Ok, got my new motherboard today, same problem. 1 LED, cant get into bios, if i let it go, it tries to detect a RAID array. I am at a loss, i've tried the cmos clears and all that, but nothing helps. My ram is detected, my cpu is detected, all my drives are detected. (i see this because after the dfi logo it goes to the screen showing all my hardware, tells me there was a cmos checksum error and defaults were loaded or something to that effect) i'm getting desperate, any and all help is great at this point... Boppo Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Did you flash the BIOS on the new motherboard already?
Gary_Johnston Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 No, it came preloaded with 6-23, which is what i was using on my old one, gave me the best results.
davidhammock200 Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 500w Rosewill Extreme Edition +12V@34ANot recommended. :shake: This probably is not your current problem, but it may be & become the cause of many problems.
malinois1 Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Hi Gary, Have you tried booting up with just the mobo, cpu, video card, and 1 stick of ram? Unplug everything else from the mobo and remove the psu from everything you are not using.
Gary_Johnston Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 I have to run both sticks of ram, otherwise it wont post at all. It never has. I know the power supply isnt spectacular, but it worked fine since i got it and i was overclocking per my sig. I only have plugged in the CPU, GPU, RAM, and one SATA drive, or one IDE drive, with the SATA it tries to detect RAID, with the IDE it says error loading OS. Neither times can I get into the bios, and on the off chance i do it freezes if i try to change anything.
