I've got a DFI (nForce 4) Ultra-D with 2*1Go G.Skill HZ PC4000 (+ Opteron 146 and 165). The last official BIOS is 406, but what Merlin's BIOS offer? Is there a description somewhere? So his descriptions have been minimal although I know it is also on a German Forum. I personally still use Tony's 704-2bta. It seems to work well with almost all memory. To me, Merlin's latest version seems to have a lot of the things that NEO incorporated into his BIOS. Merlin has been "modding" bioses for a long time so I would bet it is good. But too little information on this bios so I've not tried it. Any Bios from 6/23 will work for your Dual Core Opty. I've got an old BIOS, but my Opty (Mono and Dual Core) work well (Ex : Opty 146 @ 2900MHz AirCooling. Now i've got an Ultra 120 eXtreme to cool the Opty but i don't try more for the moment). => My computer is "down" (I change components with my server), and i answer you with my laptop. That date is July 2004 Yes, it is for all memory and I have an OCDB entry with it using GSkill RAM here http://www.diy-street.com/forum/showpost.p...4&postcount=282 It does limit the percentage of VID to 113%, but as I said a lot of us are very happy even if it is an old Bios. May be a good place to start and then try a Taipan "merlin" Bios later. Some good info in the MBM5 Thread. Check the link in my sig.
