Ok time to be helpfull..does your computer just restart? how much ram do you have? Any errors...ex blue screen of death?
DevilMB3017 Posted December 31, 2002 Posted December 31, 2002 This may sound really, really stupid, but try taking out the floppy and the ethernet adapter and try running the benchmarks.
bass_freak Posted December 31, 2002 Posted December 31, 2002 why the floppy?
Inu_Yasha Posted December 31, 2002 Posted December 31, 2002 IMO, i think its your vid card... I can't run either one of those two without it crashing on me...
bass_freak Posted December 31, 2002 Posted December 31, 2002 video card is my guess too...but i duno for sure...it could be low ram...or i asume the compaq has an onboard video that automaticlay disabled when you instaled the G2 PCI...right? maybe thats got somthin to with it. DevilMB3017 Posted December 31, 2002 Posted December 31, 2002 Bass Freak is onto something here... Make sure you go into BIOS and disable all onboard video! And in response to the floppy question; it sounds stupid, but I just had a problem fixing a friends computer where the floppy would start searching for something and crash his comp. I dunno....lol
