j2t Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Now that Flywire is a device that would be handy. Would be nice to be rid of all those stinking cables back there. Very cool.
Andrewr05 Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 (edited) All the rockstar is, is a headphone splitter for 5 instead of the typical 2. I guess that's cool, but I can't really think of a situation where you'll need 5 people listening to an ipod via headphones.Yea I saw that a couple days ago, all hyped up like some super cool new "must have" peripheral, I was like "WOW a Medusa input/output splitter" <_< PS. kingdingeling Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 When I looked at the spec sheet before, it seemed really impressive, but I just posted a news post about the new Mac Pro. In terms of CPU, memory and HDD offerings, this is a toy compared to the Mac
j2t Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 yeah, but I wonder what kind of lovely pricetag the Mac will have....$$$
ClayMeow Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 yeah, but I wonder what kind of lovely pricetag the Mac will have....$$$ Well add up the typical price for all the components as if it were a PC, then add $1k for the Apple Logo. Nemo Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 yeah, but I wonder what kind of lovely pricetag the Mac will have....$$$ $2,799.00 base price according to the Apple web site.
kingdingeling Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Sounds expensive to me, considering it's only 2GB RAM, 320GB HDD and a 2600XT Mhhh, maximum hardware configuration (without screens) = $19,499 --> Bargain
