western digital HD no support

western digital no long has ISO images. Plus you you has to use 3 party software to make a bootable usb stick. So if your mother board does not support boot to a usb drive you are on your own to  try and see if their HDs are bad. Have used them for over 20+ years and is making me think about still using them.

Perhaps I'm alone in saying this, but what exactly are you looking for? Are you looking for some bootable HDD testing software? Nearly all motherboards and systems in the last 10 years support booting to USB. You generally don't need to match HDD software to a specific vendor.

I'll recommend Hiren's Boot CD, the standard version comes with a wealth of testing tools you can either burn to a disc or put on a flash drive.

And in fact HBCD has WD DLG in the testing suite  :)   At least the version I have does.

OP - is there a reason that you don't want to run the test in Windows mode?  And as a side note most any modern motherboard supports booting from a USB device.  I certainly wouldn't "write off" WD just because they no longer offer an ISO of DLG.

If you need an ISO that bad I can host you a copy of the last one they released.  I'm sure I've got the disk around here somewhere.

Additionally, you can find archived copies of the ISO with a simple Google search.
