  1. Indirectly alot. Btw, what part of AMERICA would you call "." ??? I promoted American values in my statments. Are you from another F*king country dude? Post your computer question. My statement was not meant to be argumenative to AMERICANS. I have been on enough forums to see alot of EUROOEANS who "hate" the US. If what I said has nothing to do with df3lpud, then you should shut your mouth I made a statement for AMERICANS in turmoil, not for Euro trash scumbags !!! Let me edit that: A F*kiNg warning for Euro-Trash scumbats, me as a AMERICAN democrat will NUKE the f*King hell out of your terror assisting continenent !!! U got that dude ??? U ever crap with AMERICANS u will be NUKED, unqualified, unequivically, immediately. I'm a democrat with an 'Attitude' and will kick ur A*ss all day long....... NUKES preferable !!!
  2. Yes, dual core Opterons I didn't know. I'm just sucking up Opteron, sounds pretty good. Nice LE, a proven performer in any arena!! Gimme those FF's b4 u hurt urself !!!
  3. Amazing, G.Skill has value ram too. First off the nf3 board will not support the same settings as nf4. Why don't you know that? Why did you start this thread? Is it a RAM thread or a CHIPSET thread? Don't be rediculous that this nf3 board is anywhere near sensitive to ram. Beyond that, if you want to "test" G.Skill ram and who knows what value ram you bought, don't try it on "this" board. Thats right, crap the ram......., na crap the board. Man, RATED ram is just that, rated ... with exclusions, mostly on boards like dfi's nf4's. Don't interleave quotes. You have "value" G.Skill thats all, all it will be, all it ever was !!!
  4. Yeah, those the ones. I "almost" bought them, but the Pats were half the price and half the worries. Notice the "dfi nf4's" ? Because of the default romsips. Amazing ddr600 claim at 1T. Talk about "hand picked tomatas"...... edit: Damn, just looked ddr600 @ 2.5 @1T, ... anybody got paper? The shitstain extended out the door... Awsome, I would imgaine these would not be sold anymore, just like the shortage of gas refinereies. 3% less gas consumption by the US this year as compared to last. Result: double prices, these stupid US consumers wont know the difference. I say to the big 3 oil companies: Your sucking oil out of MY land and charging me for it!!! For all you "northern" US patrons this winter, I say as a matter of protest you "DO NOT" use any gas this winter, as an alternative I recommend you buy WOOD, burn it, and sleep on your patios for 1 week. For all you gas consumers, I recommend you, in a syncronized fashion, call in sick the same day, 1 day is all it takes, but it has to be done by ALL on the same day. Lets see what the consequences would be: Oil drops to $20 a barrel from $65, in 1 day (gas goes to 95 cents/gal). Natural gas (propane, ht oil, etc..) drops by 2/3 in 1 day !! Think about it. One last gas/oil/heat question....... Since you wer born, did you ever stand in a long line for gas because there wasn't any????? If you answer yes, you better be ready for a 65 yro guy with a 170 iq (ny neighbor)....... They "can" vanish ..... If that don't get yer blood boiling as to their performance, I don't know what does! Fabulous, beyond compare. I mean afterall why wouldn't you want these babies? I drooled everyday at the egg at them, but lo an behold ......... f*King GONE? Whas up, why???? edit: you know I guess the only thing that will piss off can't change my 20/mgp hog, gouged by the complete oil to gas wholesale/retail chain, americans, is not gas prices (up 100% in 1 year), but will be the draft, that kills and mames many visitors here and all the mons and dads (like me, who my 15/17 yrold's) will face the "draft" next year as re-enlist milestone is here and forces won't rehabilitate %40 (> 3 tours). That means the 20 year US installment (road side ambush/bomb ) will come from the aiti-war 18-25 yrold in the form of a draft. Remember, you are in Iraq to protect the f*King OIL so americans can pay $6.00/gal next summer and be dammed glad they can, thanks to you draftees.... defenders of American freedom and Bush security!! As to all the other dictators in the world, well....... Let this be a lesson to you !!!! We don't take kindly to dictators!! Hell, only 49 more to F*kIng go man, enough for 2000 years of wars, installing democracies, etc... I think its just plain cheaper to: NUKE THE F*KING HELL OUT OF THE ENTIRE WORLD AND START OVER, as George Carlin says "plant eaters".... Remember, a single nuke "vaporizes" a 30 mile radius instantly. Structual damage after that. The US has 26,000 of these NUKES. Russia has 20,000. Enough to "vaporize" the face of the earth well over 20 times. But I still say NUKE em all, nuke terrorist, nuke them in every country their in. One or two examples will suffice. The countries would raid those camps (ie: Phillopines) so F*King fast you won't believe it. If your going to be the country that is the BEAST, then f*KING do it without regrets. Consider it wiping out a plague. Thats my opinion, it may not be yours. BTW, I'm a democrat that is intollerent to 3rd world terror threats. I have a definate plan, use NUKES heavily and see if that doesent "lower" the terror alerts in the us. Remember, I can't stand republicans, but I can tell u this, any 3rd world F*cks with America, if I were presedent the country be radioactive vapor as soon as I snapped my fingers, which I would do immediatly........ Comprende? I'm sorry guys.... Rodan - AMERICAN and proud of it !!!!!!!!!!
  5. Just isolating on something you said about 1T and 275 fsb and looking at the mem in your sig - G.Skill. "FF". What is FF, is it better than LE? I'm lost in the response and can't remember if FF is 1g sticks or 256m sticks. G.Skill has a top of the line batch beyond LE, forgort (damn it may be FF, probably is). If so, that is some expensive ram, and top of the line....... yep, thing thems the ones! But, don't remember them claiming 1T above 275. But don't know they publish cpc with timings. Have you tried anything above 2,2,2,5 @ 1T @ > 275? I don't think this is a cpu issue though. I would imagine that 2x512 FF would take you to 330- 350 @ 2T @ 3,4,4,8. This whole "hand picked" thing sounds like a grocer hovering over tomatoes... Who can eat a bunch of tomatoes? Jeez, I have to take a break. Lemme see now, on the dfi nf4's I can do HIGHER tccd timings because they have pre-loaded tccd timings in their bios (-3). NOT so with their nf3 board. Take your excelent ram (and I wish they were mine) to a "dfi nf4 board" (has to be dfi because of their romsips) and see how the 1T performs. This nf3 board is a pice of ...... anybody would like to have.
  6. Just some extended info (cut & paste, and new): Woah this is alot to digest. Is the board brand new, if so what bios is it shipped with, 6xx,7xx,8xx ? Changing the boot order on 6xx,8xx shouldn't cause a "no post" condition. 7xx, changing the time will cause a no-poster, so if you have 7xx, you just got lucky being able to change things the first time. The boot order should ALWAYS be: floppy/removeable, cdrom, hard drives, other. Don't ever change that as right now I'm able to boot with a usb stick with a "DOS" image on it and flash with it via usb, which is the "removeable" category. If 7xx, like mentioned above, the bios "jump start" non-raid procedure, is to: 1. Disconnect SATA, either power or data cable. 2. Reset cmos 3. Load optimized defaults, reboot to stop, reboot, get into bios 4. Change boot order, reboot to stop, shutdown 5. Plug in power/data to SATA, reboot, get into bios (if you can) (at this point, if you had a bootable os on your hd, you will boot into os without the opertunity to do step 6. From the os, you should change the boot.ini file to offer you a menu before you boot. This will enable you a stop point before your os boots, so you may reboot if necessary... always set this!) 6. Setup your other stuff, reboot to stop, reboot 7. Setup all your OTHER bios stuff (peripherals), open cd, insert setup disk, save settings, reboot 8. Install os or "REPAIR" an os with a "different chipset". No need to do a fresh install! Except when I had to redo my raid because of added drives, I hadn't done a fresh install in 3 years! Only a "repair" that loads MS primitaves, keeping the registry intact for apps but invalidating different chipset drivers. After which you can load proper chipset drivers and any others. This is infinetly better than a reinstall, as if your like me, have every app registered since cpu time day 0 !! BTW, apps have service paks too... After the old chipset drivers are invalidated and your able to run, disable network and install all vid/chipset drivers, then do the windows update, then dx9c periodically. This will preserve the REGISTRY on all your installed apps. And if your like me, my registry contains info of mega installed apps for the last 5 years, that I don't even have a clue where the original disks are....... If you want deailed info on HOW exactly to do this let me know. But you better be ready to do it with the attitude of "go for it" I don't want any whiners if you crap it up !!! You can crap up a car wash after 48hrs of on-line gaming so No excuses!!! I know xp pretty well, since I've installed it 20 times already without it F*cKing up my installed apps (registry), and thats all you want. The data has carried over from si3112/nvidia raid/si3114 and back an forth from nf2/3/4 and its still here and works great. Don't listen to any bull crape that you have to rebuild raid, thats pure crap !!! Anything broken in the chain and you have other hardware problems... (and this really isin't as bad as it looks, could be done in 5 minutes) If you don't have 7xx...... disregard, you have another problem. If 8xx, it could be the 216 fsb bug, if 6xx it could be the 349 fsb bug......... Congratulations on your brand new mobo!! gluck

  8. I like this thread, keep the 939 Opteron going. Didn't read it all, but I can comment on air coolers. The xp90 runs 5c higher on load, the 90 copper is better (5c lower) for what its worth. The SD's have 1M cache. I run my 3700 2.75g, 1.5vcore, 11x250x4x,1T, 2.5,4,8,3. According to sensors, nf4 is 25/37c no/load. How much lower is the vcore required for Opteron, I could probably do 2.9 on the SD at 1.6 vcore. I did remove the ihs and tightened the retainer on the xp90c. That alone lowered my temps 5c. This is running a total of 56cfm air through the closed case. Outside the case, the heat sink is bone cold at these settings and only 1 degree hotter inside the case. When I had the nf3 board it burned the core (or the resin of as5) at 1.65 vcore. When switched boards the temps were dramatically lower. I think these Opterons are based on the SD. Is that true? My cpu is "in the wild too", its not CABGE, its something else. I got it late in the SD production batch, 3 months ago. Nobody had my batch numbers. Keep the info coming... Is this info going to stay in the Amd overclocking thread or will a new 939 Opteron category be created?
  9. Updated sig, but I remember blow jobs and feel yer pain.......

  11. ............ I am a rude JACKASS and should never have posted this !!! Sorry if I offended anyone.......
  12. Whats the status on this board now, anybody know? Doesen't seem to be a bios problem (none of them work). Anybody tried to flash a NF4 bios on this puppy to see if it works? I mean, the bios is mostly concerned with regulators, sensors, etc..., not really the chipset. Thier NF4 boards work pretty good. If anybody can test a nf4 bios on this nf3 board and see if it works ....... I mean if you don't care about what happens, that would be alot interresting you know.
  13. I have good tccd, been up and down this flagpole from 250 - 300. If the benchmarks are the same at 250,1T and 300,2T, why would you "up" voltage on your components to do 300? This is at 1:1. I don't like dividers, thats just me, but from nf2-nf4, I can't find anybody who preferrs dividers over 1:1. These are game rigs mostly where dividers produce "wait" states and percieved lag. @ 1:1...... BH5 will take you up to 270, 1T, 2,2,2,5 but at 3x. Good tccd will take you 248, 1T, 2.5,4,8,3 at 4x at lower chipset/ram voltage for almost exactly the same Sandra/Everest bandwidth. This all asumes you can do at least 11x fid for tccd and at least 10x, BH5 to get in the 2.7g cpu clock range. The 2.7g cpu clock is definetly the mark that "should" be tried for and none less. I'm at 2.74g at 1.5 vcore (on air), with a idle cpu temp of 25c. 1.5v chipset, 2.9v ram, 248, 1:1, 2.5,4,8,3, 1T. Sandra is 7200, Everest write is 2950. Prime 30 hrs stable, memtest for 2 days stable, SuperPI 16m stable. When I push my ram up to > 300 fsb, 2T, it gets hot enough to roast an egg on it, and requires a 80mm fan to active cool it. So I backed off and compromised and this is the logical choice. Its time to settle in on usage now. I feel comfortable with my choice. I've said it before, its either <= 250 @ 1T, 1:1 or its >= 300 @ 2T, 1:1 with active cooling (I don't consider dividers as a good thing), at either 10 or 11 fid (I don't consider cpu max fid of 9x viable for this machine in the long run). Remember, you can run 250 fsb at 1T with cheapo ram (like Pat's Xblks $130/gig) or you can run >= 300 fsb with ONLY the best ram (and never at 1T) like GSkil LE ($290/gig) or greater. Both produce exact bandwidth/stability results. If you have "crap" ram then don't complain your adjustments will be less than these two envelopes described. Make no mistake about what I'm talking about. I "am" describing what I believe are the only two ranges that should be explored on nf3/nf4 board/cpu/ram combo's. Only two viable ranges. Of the two, the 250 or less a@ 1T are the best overall IMHO. The 300+ has multiple problems at this time, heat, power consumption, electronic failure... Its funny but, these two speed ranges are goverened by the cpu fid (multi). I know my ram could do 270 @ 1T, 1:1..... but to keep it at 1:1 the cpu fid (multi) gets in the way. The granularity of the cpu fids get in the way. Its a delicate balance, above all the "cpu" speed is the beast here instead of the ram. You want 2.7g cpu minimum at low vcore (1.5v for longevity) at the highest mem bandwidth you can get. Its NOT linear, sacraficing 15% cpu speed to get 15% bandwidth yeilds you less NOT more. So aim for 2.7g cpu at low vcore if you can. 2.5g cpu at 1T ram will yeild less..... (in general) won't yield same results as 2.7g cpu at 2T ram. Thats why I'm saying try for 250 1T (at any timing) with cpu around 2.7g. How you get there is up to your hardware capability.
  14. Just some questions: Tcl is Cas latency. You need 7 cl for tccd? A64 tweaker lists Bypass Max from 0x - 7x, whats good for tccd? A64 tweaker will list Tref based on >= 200 mem speed, how can it or bios be right? Or how does that work based on = mem_rated_speed x fsb (oc'd) ? I have grey areas, just hoping you would know...
