A 2ghz maybe not, the willamete (sp) wasn't the greatest. But the northwoods will in a lot of cases. Sorry for a crap link, but look: p4 2ghz 'A' VS XP2400 (2.0ghz) you can also look at some of the other cpus in that test. Yes, the AMDs will beat out the P4s at actual speed VS speed a lot of the time, but then again since ~XP2000, they haven't come too close to their 'ratings'. I'm no fan boy, I prefer to sit on the fence, ill buy whichever is best at the time

yes, its a regular PC HD, and yes, you can install a bigger HD. You can even install a 2nd HD (I believe). You have to do some things first though, use google and find some xbox hack sites.

I've had an iWill XP-333-R since it came out, and even though it is sweet, I hate it more than hell. The thing has randomly crashed 3 or 4 times now. First, I had to go thru 3 returns to the store before I got one that worked. Now, every once in a while it will stop booting up. Hit the power, fans spin, drives go, but no video. As soon as I swap CPUs tho it usually fixes it, then I just put the old CPU back in and it's fine. Also, I've used 3 or 4 different processors on it for extended periods and it does the same thing. On iWill's boards there are a lot of people with problems with it, but they're all idiots and dunno what they're talking about. Anyone here want to help me? It's not working right now. Thanks

I thought the gfFX wasn't coming out until March...erm, that is a couple of months. I'd say 256more, maybe upgrade to a faster speed DDR if your mobo supports it. I would wait on the graphics card, after the gfFX comes out, the ti4000 series will most likely plummet in price, and probably the high-end radeons as well (9500, 9700, pro versions too). Besides that save your cash for when P5 or clawhammer (isn't that the next gen AMD?) comes out...

nice w/ all the d/ls your putting up, but as mentioned, the bandwith/users is a problem with it. Maybe put a small list of mirrors for the files in addition to the OCC mirror? just a thought

i think the direct connected port is 4443... me and a friend used to pretend to swap "pics" then nail em with sub7 =) otherwise, at this point w/o direct connection there is NO way to trace IM IPs (thru AIM that is)

ok, ive gone thru 3 iWill XP333Rs now and none have worked rite. the first one doesnt work at all, nor does the 2nd. the 3rd works ok for about a week and now will boot every 1 in 40 times... when i turn on comp, i get fans running and no beeps or video or anything....ive tried everything, board wont even run just straight up w/ only CPU...(ie...no BIOS beeps...) my friend has the same problem... also on iwill mssg boards it's posted too.... any adv. peeps here who have fixed this??? THX

got some new hardware....jsut thought id post again XP1800 iWill xp333-r 512 DDR2700 2x 30gb ata/100 WD HDs on RAID ghetto case (ill post a pic soon =) i got 120mm fans twisty tied on the side panel and some other wierd stuff...) Cool removable HD thingy for this 2.1gb for moving files (got a drive bay w/ panel off on my other sys with a power & ribbon cable hanging out) geforce2 mx200 (still......hopefully get a ti4600 soon???) 5.1 surround sound w/ awsome stereo dual 10/100 nics (dont ask, fagged up DSL sharing) (got DSL...finally.....) dual 24x burners (supposed to be able to run at once w/ nero...?) 16x DVD drive i am buying a new case, one of those alienware style ones, they got em at harddrive.com. its gonna be fast and furious green w/ a green etched window (radioactive i think...) w/ a neon on the inside also ill put a handle and blowhole on it...

ouch....linux guy made mine look like . =) thats a lot of RAM........i though 512 was good......dual cpu is crazy too......but i bet that thing is fast. i still got my sound system though....
