malinois1 Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 nope I can't explain it. When you find out be sure and tell me because I have the same thing going on with mine. Weak mem controller is all I can think.
Jadawin Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Well, I can tell you in a few hours if it's stable, it's running Prime95 with 2x 500 MB allocated and I only have 300 MB free, rest is used by Systemcache and RAMDisk. It's looking good so far. Had to abort an earlier test because my Koolance Exos-2 fans stopped working and the waterblock was at 48C, CPU was at 65C... fixed now by connecting them externally (using Zalman fan controllers hehe). Looks like the fan controller of my Exos-2 said byebye. 4 days old. But I don't feel like RMAing the thing just because the fan controller doesn't work. Using an external fan controller is in some way even better. I might get a nice one for a 5 1/4" slot... And if I think about disassembling everything and bleeding and all that just to send it to Koolance and then wait ages and then do it all again... naaahh.... Jadawin Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Ok, it's stable with 10x260 1:1, but I won't run it like this, the CPU needs 0.1v more just for those 50 Mhz. Not worth it. But for someone with a better CPU it's probably worth trying!
