catkicker Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 I decided it was time to upgrade to nF4 SLI system, then I figured why upgrade my present nF3 to nF4 why not build a completely new rig  So a few months ago I began a culvert operation to funnel $$ into a special account. Last week I start ordering the parts needed for the new build. When fedex started showing up at the front door again My culvert ops. was uncovered by my loving wife, sort of hard to explain the LARGE box that contained my Coolermaster case and several Frozen Cpu packages arriving. So on with the build. I bought a 2nd hand coolermaster wavemaster black it already has heater core custom plexiglass shroud and large custom grille and 2x120 mm fans and DD fill port located in top of case custom window mod (clear) and thumbscrews everywhere. the digital camera is not here will have it tomarrow and post pics of all the new stuff and what I have done so far. U can buy this in different colors and draw a paint on ur wall in room,so it will be invisible untill u switch on UV.

catkicker Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 Well my other 2 80GB satas arrived the other day and I'm now the very happy owner of a DFI LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR , orbital matrix arrived yesterday. The budget buster is the last on the list 6800Ultra :eek2:
catkicker Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 Well most of the needed componets are here now. I'm waiting on 2 items before I can start putting it togather. BIG BOX! [bFG 6600 GT OC $159.00 after rebate It will do for now 4x80GB Seagate Satas going raid 0 have a spare HD for Back up amd storage s Going to start out with this pump on a 7V/12V switch Going with this dual channel kit first may try Buffalo firestick PC4000 after I get a feel for the board Cant go wrong with OCZ  One problem I did run into with this case was the amount of space the rad, shroud and fans were taking up in the top of the case, 2 5.25 bays I thought about moving rad and fans to outside top location I felt it just looked cleaner overall inside the case so with only 2 5,25 bays left and needing a 3rd for my matrix orbital, it was dremel time. The coolermaster Wavemaster case seemed to be designed to easily add a 5th 5.25 bay so i just cut out some of the top 3.5 bay and now I have the 3rd 5.25 bay I need of course doing that elimanated a place for my regular size floopy no big deal except I wanted a floppy so ordered a slim floppy that will fit right under the modded bay.
