Guest obvious Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 My RAM maxes out at 280Mhz (memtest stable overnight) with the settings in Rgone's guide below (I was amazed it went so high - is this particularly good?) At 280*9 (2520Mhz) I get occasional BSOD's and prime95 fails quite quickly (if it doesn't lock up first) 9*278 hits the magic 2.5GHz and is prime stable for around an hour before getting rounding errors. Temps hit a max of 51C during torture test (RAM,CPU and Chipset) It seems that the CPU and RAM are very closely matched but the CPU is topping out first. jacko Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 Yep, my Ultra-D had problems until I hooked up the FDD 4 pin. Also, don't forget to bump down your LDT in BIOS to like 2.5 or 3 and try running your RAM at 3-4-4-10 with >3.0v just to make sure it's relaxed enough if you don't have enough time to mess with finding max cpu and separately (recommended)...
