suio Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 I recommend you to go to the OCZ support forum to get professional help. Your memory settings are not recommended by OCZ for EL Plat Rev2. http://www.bleedinedge.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=
Guest obvious Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 I recommend you to go to the OCZ support forum to get professional help. Your memory settings are not recommended by OCZ for EL Plat Rev2. http://www.bleedinedge.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=45 Good advice. Being new to both A64 and OCZ memory I didn't even know OCZ had such a great forum. After a quick look in their forum I see people advising up to 3v so I guess they'll support this even though it says to only use it up to 2.9v? BTW, I'm about 3 hours into Prime95 at 9*280 after raising the VCore on the processor to 1.45 * 123% which is showing as 1.7v in MBM. Just how many volts can the Venice take? EDIT:- Sig Updated
Fire-N-Ice Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 my ram tops out at 280 too, and I have a venice, may try my settings...
Guest obvious Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Thanks! I have a lot to work on now. Also just found the OCZ recommended setup for DFI NF4 - 3200 Plat EL Rev 2 from 275Mhz - 300Mhz here with the help of you guys !
suio Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 1.70v vcore is too high if you don't have a water cooler. I would not want to go over 1.60v with XP-90.
Guest obvious Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Agreed. I'm off on a completely new track now since reading the OCZ recommended settings. Sig updated - Still only prime stable for about 4 hours but the timings and voltages are much much better. Plenty to work with.
